EXECUTIVE BOARD:
President - preside at all meetings of this local PTA, serve as an ex-officio member of all committees except the nominating committee, coordinate the work of the officers and committees of this PTA in order that the Purposes may be promoted, and more as directed by our unit bylaws.
Vice President - act as an aid to the President in all facets, perform the duties as the President in their absence or inability to act, and more as directed by our unit bylaws.
Treasurer - process payments and expense reimbursement requests, collect receipts and make bank deposits, track PTA revenues and expenses against budget, report activity to board of directors and general membership, handle money at PTA events, oversee the annual budget process, provide general financial support to the PTA Board throughout the year, and more as directed by our unit bylaws.
Secretary - work with President to create a meeting agenda, send out meeting announcements, agendas and supporting documents, record the minutes of all meetings of this PTA, be prepared to read the records of any previous meetings, file all records, and more as directed by our unit bylaws.

Communications - act as administrator for the website, www.allemandspta.org, updating the site with information sent from the PTA Executive Board and committee chairs.
Craft Night(s) - organize 2-3 craft nights/family events for the school year, gathering all supplies needed to host the event, securing space and volunteers, and setting up and cleaning up.
Diversity, Equity, & Inclusivity - work with the PTA Board to increase diversity, inclusivity, equity and awareness in all aspects of the PTA
*Faculty/Staff Morale - organize events/treats throughout the school year for our faculty/staff. To include but not limited to: Beginning of the Year Breakfast, Parent Teacher Conference snacks, monthly meeting refreshments, holiday treats, teacher appreciation week, end of year lunch.
Fall Fest - act as the point person and coordinator of Fall Fest, our annual fall fundraiser for AES PTA. This event, typically attended by 300+ family/community members, is a huge fundraiser for our school and helps to raise money to fund activities and educational supplies for our students, faculty and staff. We typically have a raffle with gift cards, merchandise and services generously donated by local and national companies.
Grade Representative(s) - act as a liaison for your grade, giving feedback and opinions on upcoming and past events in order to ensure that your grade level is represented. Help the other chairs as and however you are able.
*Grant - write grants to help defray costs of events and/or to aid in creating new opportunities for our students throughout the school year.
*Historian - capture, assemble and preserve a record of activities and achievements of our PTA
Membership - encourage PTA membership, create, distribute and process our incoming membership.
*Second Grade Sendoff - plan and organize our Second Grade Sendoff party including deciding on entertainment and food, securing volunteers, ordering shirts and goodies for our second grade students, creating all required invites and informational flyers. This chair would, ideally, be a parent with a child in a grade OTHER THAN second grade.
Social Media - act as an administrator (grants access, moderates, shares flyers etc.) of the Allemands Elementary PTA social media page.
Spirit Wear - keep running inventory of our on-hand spirit wear, place preorders/replenishment order of winter wear and additional spirit wear in the fall. Process orders weekly throughout the first quarter of the school year, and every other week throughout the remaining quarters.
*Sponsorship - use your networking skills to reach out to potential sponsors to help defray costs of events and/or to aid in creating new opportunities for our school/students/faculty and staff.
Spring Fundraiser - act as the point person and coordinator of our Fall Fundraiser.
Student Morale - organize events/treats throughout the school year for our students. To include but not limited to: welcome back treats, holiday gifts, grade level supplies, student appreciation week and more.
