AES PTA is a local PTA organized under the authority of the Louisiana PTA, a branch of the National PTA. AES PTA works diligently year round to support and advocate for our children by partnering with staff, families, and the wider community to create a safe and inclusive learning community where all students can thrive socially, emotionally, and academically.
In this fast-paced world, we are all short on time. So why should you spend that hard-earned free time with us?
PTA is a bridge between parents and AES and can be a way for you to share ideas more effectively and suggest change in our school. PTA is known as the largest child advocacy organization in the country. Have your voice heard by the State and National PTA who can advocate on our behalf for important legislation that would affect our children, school and community.
Volunteering with our PTA allows you to contribute your skills and knowledge for the benefit of, not only your child, but our school community. We have many different times available to volunteer – during school hours, after hours and even weekends - whatever fits your schedule. PTA can help you gain expertise as a leadership volunteer, build your resume, and make lifelong friends.
Children perform better when parents are engaged in education, both at home and at school. By joining the PTA, your child and all of the other children at AES will see the importance we place on education.

No, but we would love for you to join us! Every membership shows your support for our children, their future, our school, and community as a whole! We will keep you in the loop by sending a monthly email newsletter with PTA updates and volunteer opportunities if you are interested.
Our goal is to have at least one person from each child’s family join the PTA this year. Could you imagine what an impact we would make with that many voices?
More than half of our board members and volunteers do too! Don't let that scare you away from volunteering. There is always something to help with! Most of the time, younger kids can come to school with us as most of our volunteer opportunities take place in the Family Center which is a child-friendly zone!
